Honors and Awards


The Foundation administers a number of annual endowment awards
which recognize individuals for their outstanding achievements.

2007 Endowment Development Award was presented to

Hyman B. Shuman, Charles E. Shuman, and Irving M. Shuman

          

For their extraordinary generosity and commitment to the Jewish community of Western New York.  As individuals and as a family, the Shuman Brothers have made major contributions to a wide range of charitable organizations serving the Jewish community and the community at large.  They have collaborated with the Foundation for Jewish Philanthropies to provide financial support to dozens of religious, educational, cultural and humanitarian causes locally, nationally and internationally.  Their exemplary leadership and philanthropy will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
