Financial Highlights
This past year has undoubtedly been one of the most challenging in the Foundation’s long history. We experienced significant declines in our investment portfolio and in current giving. Our total assets decreased by over $18 million during calendar year 2008. Despite these difficulties, the Foundation maintained a high level of service and charitable activity on behalf of its donors and client agencies notwithstanding continuing uncertainty and volatility in the financial markets. Highlighted below are the Foundation’s achievements in fund management, endowment development, capital projects and grantmaking.
