Donors have the satisfaction of helping young people have an experience of a lifetime and seeing the income from their gift used year after year for countless students into the future. Such funds are dedicated
in the donor's name or to honor or memorialize loved ones. Donors may also designate qualifications for scholarship recipients; i.e., members of a particular temple or students at a particular school. The goal
of the Israel Scholarship Committee is to encourage participation of our young people in structured and supervised programs of travel to Israel under Jewish organizational auspices. Applications will be reviewed
by a volunteer committee composed of members active in religious and communal institutions in the area and grants will be awarded on the basis of three factors: financial need, demonstrated Jewish commitment and the
potential to make a contribution to the Jewish community. |
