Privacy Policy

PRIVACY AND SECURITY

PURPOSE

To protect the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, officers, committee members, employees, donors, beneficiaries and affiliated agencies, and the individuals transacting Foundation business via the Foundation’s website, from the disclosure of nonpublic and/or private information, consistent with strict professional standards of confidentiality and all applicable laws and regulations.

NONDISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

Limited Disclosure. The Foundation will not sell, share, or otherwise distribute or disclose nonpublic and/or private information (i.e., personal, business, financial), except as: (1) required by law, (2) authorized in writing by the person(s) concerned, or (3) required to maintain the security of the Foundation’s assets, property, possessions, or information technology systems.

Restricted Access.

The Foundation maintains records of gifts received. Access to those records is restricted to persons who need to know such information and who are bound by this Privacy Policy. The Foundation maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to ensure restricted access, use and disclosure. The Foundation reviews and adjusts these safeguards regularly in response to advances in technology.

Research and Information.

The Foundation conducts research for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of potential donors. All information gathered is considered confidential. Any requests for information are made in writing on Foundation letterhead. The Foundation’s website collects or discloses information only if an individual consents to such collection or disclosure. An individual’s participation in an online transaction resulting in the disclosure of nonpublic information constitutes consent to the Foundation’s collection and disclosure of such information for purposes reasonably ascertainable from the nature and terms of the transaction.

Website Security.

The Foundation has implemented safeguards to preserve the integrity of its website and information technology systems.

Links to Third Parties.

The Foundation’s website provides links to websites that are operated and controlled by third parties. A link does not constitute knowledge or endorsement of the content, viewpoint, accuracy, opinions, policies, products, services, or accessibility of third-party websites.

Anonymity.

The Foundation will honor any donor’s request to remain anonymous or to be omitted from a published listing.
